In times of calamity, the true spirit of service shines through the compassion and unity of people who choose to help others. Demonstrating Rotary’s commitment to humanitarian service, the Rotary Club of Uptown Novaliches joined the grocery repacking activity at Tivoli Royale, preparing essential food supplies for fellow Filipinos affected by the recent typhoon.

The activity brought together dedicated volunteers who worked hand in hand to sort, organize, and pack grocery items that would be distributed to families facing the challenges brought by the disaster. Every package represented more than basic necessities; it carried a message of hope, solidarity, and reassurance that those affected were not alone in their struggle to recover.

For families whose homes and livelihoods may have been disrupted by the typhoon, access to essential food supplies can provide immediate relief during difficult times. Through this collective effort, Rotary members helped prepare assistance that would reach communities in need, embodying the Rotary spirit of Service Above Self.

The participation of the Rotary Club of Uptown Novaliches reflects the importance of collaboration and volunteerism in disaster response. While the road to recovery may be challenging, even simple acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference when people come together with a shared purpose. Beyond the grocery packs, the activity demonstrated the power of compassion translated into action. It reminded everyone that service is not measured solely by the resources given, but also by the willingness to share time, effort, and care with others.

Through initiatives like this, Rotary continues to bring people together to respond to urgent community needs and create lasting impact—one helping hand, one family, and one act of kindness at a time.
